The heat has increased in Nagpur district due to the rise in mercury for the past few days. The Health Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation has recorded 3 suspected heat stroke deaths. The actual cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report.
In the past few days, the number of patients suffering from heatstroke-like symptoms, including Vomiting, Diarrhoea, and fever has increased in Nagpur’s GMC, Mayo, Isolation, government-municipal and all private hospitals.
Meanwhile, 3 suspected heatstroke deaths were reported to the Municipal Health Department till May 19. Out of them, 2 are unknown patients, and the health department is extracting the information of one patient. The exact cause of their death will be clear from the postmortem report.
Intermittent rain, cloudy weather and hot weather continued in Nagpur district. Therefore, the temperature also decreases. Yet, for the past few days, the temperature has been consistently between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius. As a result, citizens are suffering due to heat. There has been an increase in the number of patients suffering from various heat related diseases including gastro, diarrhoea, along with fever everywhere.
