Although Monsoon won’t arrive until later, there’s a potential of showers first. In this regard, the meteorological department has provided cues. Cloudy, stormy, and lightning-filled weather is predicted for Vidarbha. According to the department’s forecast, such meteorological conditions are expected to last until June 11.
After a sweltering Tuesday, the weather suddenly shifted within a day. Wednesday morning’s sky was beautiful, but as the day went on, clouds began to build. Raindrops also dropped sporadically. The overcast weather caused the mercury in Nagpur to drop by 2 degrees. On Wednesday, the thermometer read 41 degrees. Although Nagpur’s temperature fell, Vidarbha’s neighbouring districts saw high temperatures.
Temperatures rose in other districts of East Vidarbha. Gondia and Chandrapur recorded the highest temperature of 43.8 degrees. In Gadchiroli too, the mercury rose by 1.4 degrees to settle at 43.4 degrees. In Wardha, the maximum temperature reached 43.5 degrees.
