The custody of Afsar Pasha, accused in the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari threat case, has been extended till July 27. Pasha was brought to Nagpur on a production warrant from Belagavi Jail in Karnataka. He was produced again in the court on Monday, where the court has sent him to police custody remand till July 27.
Police had already arrested Jayesh Pujari alias Jayesh Kantha in connection with threatening Gadkari. He revealed the name of his fellow Afsar Pasha during interrogation, after which Nagpur police arrested Pasha from Belgaum Jail.
After the end of the police custody remand for the second time on Monday, he was again produced in the court by Dhantoli police on Monday where the court has sent him to police custody.
The government lawyer had demanded police custody remand of terrorist Pasha on different issues, which has been approved by the court.
