Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nagpur’s Guardian Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the situation in Nagpur due to heavy rains on Wednesday night. He also sought information about the condition of agricultural fields in the district. Fadnavis issued orders to conduct ‘Panchanama’ in the affected areas and submit the report as early as possible.
Nagpur City received 149.3 mm rain. Nagpur Rural was battered by 139 mm of rain. The rainfall recorded in other parts include Kamptee – 103.8 mm; Hingna – 192.9 mm; Umrer – 115 mm, and Kuhi – 94.7 mm. SDRF, Apada Mitra and Fire Brigade of Nagpur Municipal Corporation rescued 25 people to safer places. About 200 houses were partially damaged due to heavy rains, informs an official press note issued here.
