Union Highways and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the day is not far when people will be able to fly from one place to another via drones and flying buses.
He envisioned that a flying bus will be able to transport 250 individuals between locations in Bengaluru.
The minister also highlighted that the drones will now facilitate the aerial transportation of goods weighing up to 200 kg. Illustrating his point, Nitin Gadkari envisioned a future where drones become an integral part of daily life, enabling people to travel between Nagpur’s Shakkardhara, railway station and airport.
Gadkari shared an instance from Himachal Pradesh, where drones were employed to transport essentials from the mountainous terrain. The drones successfully carried items such as essential commodities, food supplies, pesticides, and medicines, serving as a vital link between the ground and elevated areas.
The minister also mentioned that Nagpur has prominent industrialists, and within their factories, missiles are manufactured. A missile capable of striking up to 200 kilometers is being developed in the factory of a businessman named Satyanarayan Nawal.
“Our capacity for self-defense is enhancing, not with the intention of seizing another country’s territory, but to bolster our own security. We are not expansionist, but it’s crucial to cultivate strength from a security perspective. A person with strength can establish peace and non-violence in society,” the minister said while addressing people in Nagpur.
