Heavy rains were reported in Nagpur on Sunday evening bringing respite from the hot and humid weather. It has been cloudy since morning, around 4 in the evening, there was sudden thunder and heavy rain for an hour.
Rain along with gales caused trees to fall in many areas of the city. Cars and motorcycles were damaged due to the fall of the tree in tiranga Chowk.
The Disaster Management Department of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation received complaints of falling trees from many localities in the city. A traffic jam was also seen in some areas due to accumulation of rain water.
Sudden rains in the evening for an hour led to power outages in many parts of the city.
