The Cleanliness Drive-3.0 of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) concluded on Wednesday by earning a revenue of Rs 190.70 lakh through the sale of scraps. An area of 23,365 sqft was cleaned by the employees of WCL.
The Special Drive-3.0 was implemented at 45 different premises of WCL by disposal of scraps, resolution of the grievances and clearing the pending files on various issues. WCL disposed of metal scraps from 33 sites, which was about 209 million tonnes. Besides the metal scrap, 1,64,950 litre of waste oil, 1104 waste tyres, 254 non-functional batteries were sold as scrap. The employees were instructed to maintain cleanliness in the premises.
Disposal of pending files was an important task, which includes action pertaining to 11677 out of 32,000 files. The grievances which were pending to be sorted out were handled. Only those received during the last 15 days are pending.
