Two individuals, including an engineering student, tragically lost their lives when their speeding motorcycle collided with a pillar near the Jhansi Rani Metro Station within the Sitabuldi Police Station’s jurisdiction. The deceased have been identified as Om Sanjay Bahade (20) and Karthik Sunil Mandawkar (20), both residents of Hingna, Nagpur, originally from Yavatmal.
As per police reports, Om, a second-year student at Priyadarshini Engineering College, and Karthik, who was studying marketing course, were riding a motorcycle (registration number MH-29-BX-2420) when the incident occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Om lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to collide with a pillar of the Metro Rail. Both riders sustained severe injuries. Sitabuldi police promptly responded to the scene, transporting the injured youths to Mayo Hospital, where they tragically passed away due to their injuries.
