Renames it Max Super Speciality Hospital
Max Healthcare Institute Limited (MHIL), one of the biggest hospital chains in India has acquired Nagpur’s Alexis Hospital on Koradi Road. The Alexis Hospital will now be known as Max Super Speciality Hospital.
Abhay Soi, CMD of MHIL told the media that the multi-speciality hospital will be converted into a super-speciality hospital by adding healthcare facilities and increasing the existing bed strength, and capacity of the hospital to accommodate additional beds and equipment. MHIL is concentrated in North India and has 18 healthcare facilities. Out of the eight hospitals, four medical centres are located in Delhi and NCR and others in Mumbai, Mohali, Bhatinda and Dehradun.
Soi said that MHIL has patients from 145 countries, and has plans to make Nagpur a healthcare hub of Central India. The focus primarily is on the treatment of cancer. The advanced facilities to be developed include robotic surgery and organ transplants in Nagpur.

Alexis Hospital was established in 2016 and is the only JCI-accredited hospital in Nagpur, providing high-end tertiary care services such as organ transplant, oncology, neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology and diagnostic facilities.
In addition to its core hospital business, MHIL has two SBUs – Max@Home and Max Lab. Max@Home is a platform that provides health and wellness services at home and Max Lab offers diagnostic services to patients outside its network.
