In a bid to foster excellence and compliance in clinical research, the Clinical Research Division at Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre organized a comprehensive one-day workshop on “Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Regulatory Updates”. The workshop, held at the Brainstorm Hall, Datta Meghe Medical College, Nagpur. Around 50 delegates hailing from diverse professional backgrounds attended the workshop.
The workshop served as an invaluable platform for attendees, offering current best practices and regulatory insights crucial to the clinical research landscape. Distinguished experts from the field of clinical research shared their knowledge on diverse topics, delivered enlightening lectures on a spectrum of pertinent topics.
Dr. G.N. Dakhale, a NABH certified expert on GCP and Professor & Member Secretary of the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) at AIIMS, delivered a lecture on “Ethics Committee Composition, roles & responsibilities” and highlighted the “New Drug & Clinical Trial rule-2019”. Meanwhile, Dr.Mrunalini Kalikar, Associate Professor and Member Secretary of the IEC at GMC, Nagpur, addressed “Responsibilities of PI, Sponsor & Monitor and Ethical issues in Medical Research”. Dr. V. Gyanchandani, Director of Hector Research & Archival Private Limited, provided insights into the “Overview of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP & Indian GCP)”.
The workshop, organized under the guidance of Dr.AnupMarar, Director- Meghe Group of Institute and adept stewardship of Dr. Rajesh Gosavi, Director of the Clinical Research Division. Dr.NoorulAmeen and Ms.Tejashree, also played pivotal roles in ensuring the seamless organization of the event.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr.UjwalGajbe, Dean of DattaMeghe Medical College, alongside Dr.Brij Singh, Vice Dean, and Dr.Vasant Gawande, Chief Medical Superintendent- ShalinitaiMeghe Hospital & Research Centre, Nagpur. Their presence underscored the collective commitment towards advancing the frontiers of clinical research and upholding ethical standards in medical practice. Dr.P.Mule&Dr.NoorulAmeen conducted the proceedings as masters of ceremony while Dr.NandkishorBankar proposed vote of thanks.
