The Vidarbha region is currently facing extreme heat, with temperatures soaring across the region. Nagpur recorded a temperature of 44.6°C today, while Brahmapuri experienced the highest at 46.9°C.
Chandrapur reported 45.6°C, Bhandara 45.3°C, and both Gadchiroli and Wardha reached 45.0°C. In contrast, Buldana recorded the lowest temperature in the region at 39.0°C.
The rising temperatures have prompted the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to take several preventive measures, including establishing cold wards in nine government and NMC hospitals, keeping NMC gardens open during afternoons, and giving construction workers afternoon breaks.
