Narendra Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister for the third time on Sunday evening. The sources had earlier said that the oath-taking would take place on Saturday.
Modi was chosen head of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Wednesday. Modi will be the second to take oath for the third consecutive term after Jawaharlal Nehru.
Several South Asian leaders for the oath-taking ceremony. Those invited include Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay and Mauritius PM Pravin Jugnauth.
BJP was reduced to 240 seats and will have to take the support of its alliance. The NDA has won 293 seats, which is above the majority mark of 272.
