Snakebite incidents and fatalities tend to rise during the rainy season, a trend that has intensified in recent years. To mitigate these deaths, the Health Department conducted a training camp on Thursday at Nagpur Zilla Parishad’s Abasaheb Khedkar Hall for medical officers and district employees.
The program was inaugurated by Saumya Sharma, the chief executive officer of Nagpur Zilla Parishad.
It may be mentioned here that the department has organised this training camp as instructed by the collector Dr Vipin Itankar during a review meeting to make pre-monsoon preparations and measures for avoiding such deaths. Dr Priyanka
Kadam, Dr Dhirubhai patel, district health officer Dr Rajkumar Gahlot, dis- trict officer Dr Revati Sable, DR Aseem Inamdar, Dr Sachin Hemke, district extension and media officer Mahendra Waghmare and health officers from Nagpur district participated in the training programme.
