A major fire broke out at the Malu Rice Mill near Lihigaon, within the New Kamptee Police Station area, on Friday. While the exact reason for the fire is yet to be determined, fortunately, there were no reported casualties.
According to reports, the Fire and Emergency Department got a call around noon when the rice mill caught fire. Despite firefighters’ efforts, the fire caused extensive damage, resulting in the loss of materials worth lakhs of rupees. The New Kamptee Police quickly responded to the scene.
