The Central Railway administration has issued a warning to all the employees to follow the cleanliness protocol while handling the food and other eatables. The warning of stern action against those violating the protocol was issued following the detection of improper disposal of wastes in the Pantry Car of Awadh Assam Express. An alert passenger had posted a video of the wrongful disposal of the waste. DMR of the Tinsukhia region immediately initiated action. IRCTC slapped a fine of Rs 15,000 on the catering contractor. The worker involved in the act was arrested and an offense has been registered.
Indian Railways has appealed to the passengers to continue lodging complaints if they observe any misbehaviour by the Railway employee.
