The work of the second phase of Nagpur Metro has been started by Maha Metro. Maha Metro Managing Director Dr. Shravan Hardikar gave information to the media.
Hardikar said that under the second phase, the scope of the existing metro will be increased to 44 kilometers. 24 new stations will be built in this phase.
The Managing Director of the Metro also said that at present the financial condition of Nagpur Metro is good for running the project and 900 crore rupees are in its account.
He said that the ridership in Nagpur Metro is constantly increasing and in the first week of August the number of passengers was one lakh every day.
