The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Nagpur, and the Government of Mauritius signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, allowing Mauritian cancer patients to receive advanced treatment in Nagpur. The agreement was signed in the presence of Mauritius Minister Alan Ganoo and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Under the MoU, NCI-Nagpur will provide international-standard care to Mauritian patients and train medical staff from Mauritius. Minister Ganoo expressed confidence that the partnership would strengthen ties between Maharashtra and Mauritius, enhancing healthcare for Mauritian citizens.
Fadnavis highlighted Maharashtra’s commitment to global cooperation, adding that this agreement marks a new chapter in relations between the two regions.
