Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has initiated an online system for issuing permits to Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav mandals, aiming to expedite the process and reduce complications. Last year, the NMC introduced the My Nagpur App, allowing mandals to register for the 10-day festival. Those who applied previously can now simplify their re-registration by entering their mobile number and an OTP, avoiding the need to re-enter detailed information.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari has urged Ganesh Utsav Mandals to prioritize environmental friendliness by choosing clay idols over Plaster of Paris (PoP) idols. He also encouraged citizens to report any use of PoP idols to the NMC.
New registrants should visit https://nmcnagpur.gov.in/RTS/ws/user/login.do, input their name, email ID, mobile number, and OTP to create an account. Registration is also available via the MyNagpur App. Once registered, users should access the NMC website, navigate to the “Services” section, select “Right to Services,” and follow the prompts to apply for Ganesh Mandal permission.
Applicants must provide details such as the location of the festival and attach an affidavit, along with any necessary No Objection Certificates (NoC) from the Fire Brigade. The status of the application can be tracked on the dashboard.
