Nagpur: The State CID on Friday has filed a revision petition in the Sessions Court seeking custodial remand of Ritika alias Ritu Maloo, the prime accused in the Ram Jhula hit-and-run case. The hearing is set for next week.
This follows the rejection of the CID’s request for a 10-day police custody remand by Judicial Magistrate Archana Khedkar-Garad. Maloo was apprehended early Thursday morning from her Deshpande Layout residence after her earlier bail was quashed. CID officers argue that Maloo’s custodial interrogation is essential for the investigation due to her non-cooperation.
