The temperature in a popular tourist spot in Vidarbha –Chikhaldara in Amravati district has plummeted to 9 degree Celsius on Thursday. The temperature in urban area has also gone down to around 12 degrees.
Although the onset of winter session this year was delayed, the cold-wave like situation is being experienced towards the end of November. The temperature is further expected to go down in the hilly areas of the district in the next few days.
