The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp number for citizens to lodge complaints or provide information regarding the storage of banned nylon manja. Deputy Commissioner Vijay Deshmukh has issued an order prohibiting the use, sale, and storage of the banned product.
The ban follows directives from the Bombay High Court, which led the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to enforce the prohibition on handling the hazardous synthetic thread. Citizens can report violations by contacting NMC via WhatsApp at 8600004746 or through social media handles @ngpnmc on Facebook and Instagram.
