Two-time MLA from West Nagpur and President of Nagpur City (District) Congress Committee Vikas Thakre inspected and took review of District Hospital, Mankapur and asked the concerned officials to kick-off OPD Services as soon as possible.
Thakre has been pursuing works of District Hospital for last five years as this project is situated in his West Nagpur Assembly Constituency. Known for 24×7 Service, Thakre has continued works and meeting with citizens immediately after results. He also continued pursuing works and projects of West Nagpur.
In a press release issued here, Thakre said OPD Services can be started soon at District Hospital. He asked District Civil Surgeon Dr Nivrutti Rathod to complete the formalities of appointment of specialists and requisite staff as soon as possible for starting OPD Services. Civil structure works of G+2 Floor Hospital Building, G+1 Floor Building of administrative office of District Civil Suregeon, warehouse etc have completed. Furniture and partition works are in final stage, Thakre said.
Thakre also asked engineers of Public Works Department including Executive Engineer (Integrated Division) Varsha Ghuse and Sectional Engineer (Integrated Division) Mona Nandeshwar to begin works proposed with the help of additional funds of Rs 14.98 crore sanctioned recently. Mortuary, oxygen pipeline system, STP/ETP, Modular OT, ramp, canteen, accommodation facilities for relatives of patients, additional electrification works etc will be executed with additional funds.
Thakre assured the concerned officials to pursue with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation for beginning drinking water supply and necessary clearances from Fire Department.
Total expenditure of the project has increased to Rs 59.32 crore.
Former corporators and leaders of Congress including Pramod Singh Thakur, Shailesh Pande, Arun Dawre, Owais Qadri, Rashmi Uikey, Sakshi Raut, Kamlakar Mahalle, Nitin Kohle, Bandu Thakre, Vilas Barde, Sameer Rai, Rupesh Nitnavre, Oam Tiwaskar and local citizens were present during the inspection.
