“Citizenhood is understood as a mode of existence or a way of living in which one is aware of the identity of a citizen and constantly strives to become better equipped and more proactive and responsive as a citizen. The construct focuses on the social behaviour and ethical-spiritual aspects of living like a citizen. Responsibility towards the local contest, towards the country and the planet earth, is at the core of this construct”.
