A fraudulent appointment letter for the position of Forest Guard (Group C) has been circulating on social media, allegedly issued under the name of the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force), Maharashtra, located at Van Bhavan, Ramgiri Road, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
The fake document, attributed to the name of Chetan Mohan Jadhav from Sangvi Railway, Hatola Post, Darwha Taluka, Yavatmal District, falsely claims his appointment to the Forest Guard post. The letter gained traction on platforms such as WhatsApp and other social media outlets.
The Forest Department has clarified that no such appointment order has been issued from its headquarters. Preliminary investigations suggest the letter is fraudulent and created with the intent to deceive. In response, the Deputy Conservator of Forests (Human Resource Management), Nagpur, has filed a formal complaint with the Sadar Police Station for a detailed investigation into the matter.
The department has urged citizens to remain vigilant against such scams and avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes. Public awareness through media platforms has been requested to prevent further deceit.
