Blinkit has introduced 10-minute delivery for laptops, monitors, and printers, expanding into the electronics segment. This move makes the Zomato-owned platform the third quick commerce service to offer rapid delivery of high-value electronics, following Flipkart Minutes and Bigbasket’s BB Now. Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced the new service on X (formerly Twitter). Currently, the service is available in major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore, with plans to add more brands and products in the coming days.
In the X post, Dhindsa wrote: “You can now get laptops, monitors, printers and more delivered in 10 minutes! We’re expanding our electronics range to cover more use cases and have partnered up with leading brands in this category. We’ve got
• Laptops from HP
• Monitors from Lenovo, Zebronics and MSI
• Printers from Canon and HP
Dhindsa further mentioned, “Currently live in Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Lucknow. Most of these will be delivered by our large order fleet. We’ll be adding a lot more brands and their products very soon.”
Earlier this month, Blinkit also launched a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram, aiming to expand this initiative to other major cities within the next two years.
The Indian quick commerce market is witnessing intense competition with the entry of US giants Amazon and Flipkart, posing a challenge to local players like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto. Amazon is testing its “Tez” service in Bengaluru, offering rapid delivery of essentials, while Flipkart is expanding its “Minutes” service with a robust network of dark stores and an extended product range, including electronics and medicines. This growing rivalry is increasing pressure on existing players’ profitability, pushing them to innovate and adapt to stay ahead.
BigBasket is stepping up by integrating with Tata Cliq to provide 15-minute delivery of fashion items, broadening the scope of quick commerce. Although analysts have revised growth projections for the sector, the entry of Amazon and Flipkart is set to reshape India’s quick commerce landscape, promising increased convenience and more choices for consumers.
