The Vidyabhushan Foundation recently honoured 29 personalities from Vidarbha with the Vidarbha Bhushan Awards 2024 for their significant contributions to social and educational fields. The ceremony took place on Friday at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Sanskrutik Hall in Uruwella Colony.
Former World Bank advisor Dr. Ramesh Thakre presided over the event, while former squadron leader Prof. (Dr.) Subir Mukherjee inaugurated the program. Former MP Gev Awari, chairman of Radhakrishna Hospital & Research Centre Govind Poddar, noted writer Dr. Pradeep Aaglawe, social worker Dnyaneshwar Rakshak, and foundation director Dr. Bhushan Bhasme graced the event as guests of honor. During the ceremony, Govind Poddar was specially honored with the award by the dignitaries.

Dr. Bhasme delivered the introductory remarks, while Roshani Vairagade conducted the proceedings. Puja Bhasme, the director of the foundation, proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Pratapsingh Chauhan was also present at the occasion.
