Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a 33-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Hudkeshwar on February 6. Blood was reportedly seen oozing from her ears, raising concerns about foul play.
According to the police, Rajesh Prakash Khobragade (34), a resident of Hudkeshwar Khurd, lodged the initial complaint. The case was first registered as an accidental death. However, due to the suspicious nature of the death, a post-mortem examination was conducted.
The provisional post-mortem report revealed that the woman had been sexually assaulted and strangulated. Based on these findings, the police registered an FIR under Sections 103(1) and 64 of the IPC, 2023, against an unidentified suspect.
The deceased lived with her husband, Mandeep Singh Charanjitsingh Saluja (33), and their 10-year-old daughter. At the time of the incident, the husband was at work as a waiter, and the daughter was at school. The crime came to light when the daughter returned home and found her mother unconscious and bleeding.
