Kotwali police seized two python hatchlings imported from Thailand following a tip-off about their illegal sale here on Wednesday, February 19. The hatchlings were discovered during a raid at a local businessman’s residence in the Mahal area.
However, after verifying legal documents, including permits and import paperwork, the police returned the hatchlings to the pet shop owner.
The incident sparked excitement in the area, with locals flocking to Kumar’s pet shop on Tulsi Bagh Road to catch a glimpse of the exotic pythons. Rumors about their sale for lakhs of rupees added to the buzz.
