Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nagpur on Sunday, March 30, during the Gudi Padwa festival. He is scheduled to arrive at the airport at 8:30 AM and attend several events across the city.
Ahead of his visit, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has launched an extensive cleanliness and beautification drive along his convoy route. Roads are being cleaned, dividers are getting a fresh coat of paint, and damaged sections are being repaired with new tar. Special cleaning vehicles have also been deployed to scrub the roads thoroughly.
To improve the city’s appearance, authorities are putting up temporary walls to hide settlements near drainage areas. The Dhantoli railway underbridge is being covered with tin sheets and white drapes for a neater look. Unlike previous visits where green nets were used, this time, officials have opted for more secure tin barriers with white fabric coverings, following upgraded security protocols.
The civic body is making every effort to ensure the route looks clean and well-maintained, creating a polished image for the Prime Minister’s visit.
