Pune’s Lonavala witnessed a heated altercation between Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists and an employee at a Maharashtra Bank branch. The clash erupted after the MNS workers presented a memorandum demanding banks to communicate in Marathi.
The situation escalated when the bank manager, a Hindi speaker, attempted to mediate. The employee intervened, questioning if customers were facing issues due to the language. This led to an aggressive response from the MNS activists, who slapped the employee and demanded his departure.
The incident was captured on video, which has since gone viral on social media. The bank has not yet lodged a police complaint regarding the matter.
