Mumbai is all set to host the much-awaited first edition of the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 — a premier global event focused on the audiovisual and entertainment industries. The summit will take place from May 1 to May 4, 2025, at the iconic Jio World Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC)
In a post shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Mumbai is all set for this historic event.” His message shows that Mumbai is fully prepared to welcome guests from around the world and is proud to host such an important and big event in the city.
The summit will be officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be joined by several high-ranking dignitaries, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, as well as Industries Minister Uday Samant. Their presence highlights the importance of this event not just for Maharashtra, but for India as a whole.
Organised by the central government, WAVES 2025 aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers from across the world to discuss the future of media, entertainment, and technology. The event is expected to serve as a key platform for showcasing India’s potential as a global hub for creative industries.
