Revenue Minister and Nagpur’s Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has planned the expansion of the 50-bed hospital in Kamptee, and has decided to allot 6 acres of land to increase the hospital’s capacity to 100 beds. Kamptee is Bawankule’s constituency.
Bawankule chaired a meeting relating to various issues relating to the health services, workers on contract under the National Health Mission, and their absorption in regular service. Minister for Public Health Prakash Ambitkar, senior officials from the health department were present. Nagpur’s Zilla Parishad CEO Vinayak Mahamuni and Public Health Department officials joined the meeting online.
Bawankule said directions have been issued to prepare proposals for the appointment of staff at the District Hospital and new PHCs. The proposal for the upgradation of PHCs at Kanhan, Mohpa, and Mowad to Rural Hospitals has been approved. The issues relating to creating posts for Umrer Trauma Centre, funds for the District Hospital, and Daga Hospital were also discussed. Rs 13 crore have been sanctioned and should be disbursed. The remaining Rs 7 crore will be made available soon, Bawankule said.
