In a boost to spiritual tourism, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has unveiled two new Bharat Gaurav tourist train packages—”Devbhumi Badri Kedar Kartik Swami Yatra” and “Dakshin Darshan Yatra”—aimed at pilgrims from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The first train, Devbhumi Badri Kedar Kartik Swami Yatra, is scheduled to depart from Nagpur on June 7, 2025, and will cover prominent pilgrimage sites including Kedarnath, Kartik Swami, and Badrinath over a span of 8 nights and 9 days. Passengers can board the train at several key stations along the route, such as Nagpur, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra, Mathura, and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
The tour package includes confirmed helicopter tickets for Kedarnath, deluxe AC rail travel, all meals, road transport via air-conditioned buses, hotel accommodation, tour escorts, and travel insurance. Pricing for this package is set at ₹49,990 for 3AC, ₹59,990 for 2AC, and ₹69,990 for 1AC per person.
The second train, Dakshin Darshan Yatra, will depart from Indore on July 5, 2025, and will cover major southern spiritual destinations such as Tirupati, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, and Trivandrum during its 9-night, 10-day journey. Ticket prices for this tour are ₹18,000 (Sleeper Class), ₹29,500 (3AC), and ₹38,500 (2AC) per person.
