The Transport Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has announced a special free bus service for students appearing in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-2026) scheduled on June 21, 2026. The initiative has been launched under the guidance of Transport Committee Chairperson Mrs. Mangalata Khekre to ensure a smooth and hassle-free commute for candidates.

As part of the arrangement, NEET aspirants can travel free of cost on designated air-conditioned ‘Aapli Bus’ services by showing their examination admit card to the bus conductor. The special service aims to provide safe, convenient and stress-free transportation to examination centres across the city.

To help students plan their journey efficiently, real-time bus tracking and updated route information will be available through the NMC Chalo App. Most buses have been scheduled to operate in a manner that enables candidates to reach their examination centres well before the reporting deadline, with services running up to 10 a.m. to facilitate arrival before 12:30 p.m.

Special return services will also be available from 5 p.m. onwards after the examination concludes.
NMC officials said the initiative reflects the civic body’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable public transportation while helping students focus on their examination without worrying about travel arrangements.
