‘Teen Sitare Tees Tarane’, a musical show based on Rafi-Lata-Asha theme was organised by Cherry Berry Live Mumbai, joinly with Sursangam and Meera Nritya Niketan, treated music lovers with an old classic filled with freshness with an excellent repertoire of approx. 30 songs of three Singers. The evening was full of excellent melodies, aptly supported by brilliant musicians.
The show was conceived and presented by Gyaanesh Verma, Surabhi Dhomne and Sachin Dhomne at Scientific Society Hall, on Saturday. The evening began with high notes of Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Solah baras ki baali umar’ and continued the roll with ‘Aey dil-enadan’.
Many super hit compositions like ‘Inhi logon ne le liya dupatta mera’, ‘Roz sham aati thi’, ‘Yeh hai reshami zulfon ka andhera’ by Radhika Pawar and ‘Woh hain zara khafaa khafaa’ were presented which left the audience spell bound .
Audience were completely drenched in soulful music and literally swinging to the ageless melodies of Mohammed Rafi’s songs like ‘Teri galiyon mein na rakhenge kadam’ and ‘Mujhe kitna pyar hai tumse’.
Zeeshan Shaikh and Gyaanesh Verma sang the romantic hits like ‘Toote hue khwabon ne’, ‘Raat ke humsafar’, ‘Maine puchha chand se’, ‘Ehsaan tera hoga mujh par’ and ‘Banda parvar thaam lo jigar’.
Duets ‘Bekhudi mein sanam’, ‘O mere sona re sona re’, ‘Jo wada kiya wo nibhana padega’ and ‘Ye dil tum bin kahin lagta nahin’ took the audience down the memory lane. “Gham uthane ke liye mai to jiye†by Gyaanesh Verma and “Nigahe Milane ko Jee chahata†received a once more from the audience. Anchor Samir Desai was at his best and connected the theme very well with the music lovers.
Singers Jinash Sheikh, Surabhi Dhomne, Devika Nayar and Gyaanesh Varma rendered the songs beautifully. The accompanying artistes were Mangesh Patle and Vikrant Limje (keyboard), Manoj Vishwakarma (guitar), Amar Shende (violin), Sachin Dhomne (tabla), Vikram Joshi (minor) and Pavan (octapad).
