Adhyan Rauthan and Sarvesh Ikhankar scored centuries as Ruby Sporting Club defeated Joshi XI by massive margin of 311 runs in Sharad Bhake Memorial Inter-Club Under-13 Cricket Tournament at Nelco Society ground, here on Sunday.
Batting first Ruby Sporting piled up 389 losing seven wickets in 30 overs While Rauthan slammed 34-ball 118 hitting 12 sixes and eight boundaries, Ikhankar hammered 101 runs in 67 balls with the help of nine boundaries and four sixes. Aryan Bamratkar (73, 61 b, 8×4, 1×6) and Rajveer Jolly (55, 14b, 6×4, 5×6) too batted well.
While chasing a huge target, Joshi XI was all out for just 78 in 21.2 overs. For Ruby, Malhar Doshi and Vir Marvah shared six wickets between them.
At Central Railway ground, the match between Sahas and VMV ended in a tie. Batting first after winning the toss, VMV scored 172 for 7 in 30 overs. Aryan Borkar and Pawan Jaiswal scored 33 runs each. For Sahas Krish Dewani took two wickets for 15 runs.
In reply, Sahas too made 172 for 8 in 30 overs. Arjun Gaware’s 97-run knock in 93 balls with seven boundaries went in vain. Shardul Bhagat (26) and Mandar Nihul (24) were other scorers. For VMV, Pawan Jaiswal took two wickets for 34 runs while Akshad Borkar got one.
At Citi Gymkhana ground, Citi Gymkhana defeated Central Railway by 210 runs. Citi Gymkhana scored 275 for three in 30 overs. Krish Bhati missed the century by just seven runs. His 93 run knock was studded with 12 boundaries. Harshal Deshpande (82) too batted well. Nasre (36) and Pranav Wadaskar remained unbeaten.
For Central Railway, Zaid Sheikh took two wickets for 56 runs. In reply Central Railway were bowled out for 65 in 20.1 overs.
Only Yatharth Bhikare (17), Krishna Tiwari and Yash Choure (13 each) offered some resistance. For Citi Gymkhana, Shoren Gulhani (4 for 22) was the most successful bowlers.
At SBCA ground, Reshimbagh Gymkhana recorded an emphatic nine-wicket win over Maruti Cricket Academy. Batting first Maruti were all out for a paltry 56 in 24.5 overs. Thanks to Jitesh Basena who claimed five wicket haul conceding just runs runs. Anagh fating too bowled well and captured 2 for 24. For Maruti only Manav Wakode (12) and Karnar Deshmukh (11) managed to cross the double digit.
In reply, Reshimbagh achieved the target losing just one wicket in 8.5 overs. Jitesh Basena (24 not out) and Atharva Mane (25) complated the formalities.
