To mark the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jaltaran Talav Tairak va Palak Manch and Aqua Sports Club, Vaishali Nagar, will host a 26-hour swimming relay on November 25.
Eleven swimmers from Aqua Sports Club, aged between 6 and 14 years, will take turns swimming non-stop for 26 hours, aiming to secure a place in the Limca Book of Records.
At a press conference, coach Bhola Ambade announced that the swimming relay will take place at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swimming Pool, Vaishali Nagar. “The relay will be flagged off by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary at 8 AM. Each swimmer will swim for over two hours, circling the pool,” shared Ambade.
The participating swimmers include six-year-old Ruhan Waghmare, Gargi Hiware, Yutika Bansod, Aasawari Dahapute, Shravani Parate, Dev Wasnik, Maulik Bawankule, Ronak Satpute, Shourya Waghmare, Ojas Janbandhu, and Taha Wardhawala.
The relay will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Pravin Lamkhede and Vishal Chandurkar, concluding on November 26 at 11 AM. Dr. Lamkhede, Chandurkar, Shashikant Chahande, Mangesh Gadre, and others were present at the press conference.
