A two-day workshop was organized recently for the officers of classes I and Class II of Municipal Corporation under its Inquisitive Project in Nagpur Municipal Corporation, organized by All India Local Government Institute, Delhi. In the workshop, topics related to equality, diversity and social participation were discussed and information related to proper handling of social issues, protection to women and children etc. were provided to the participants
The workshop was inaugurated by Additional Commissioner of Police, Ram Joshi. The second day’s session was inaugurated by Additional Commissioner Ravindra Thakre on Wednesday. On this occasion, Additional Commissioner Aziz Shaikh, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Mohite and Assistant Commissioner (general administration) Mahesh Dham were present.
The workshop was organized keeping in mind the problems of the citizens of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, who were committed to solve the problems of the citizens of the city. Around 90, class I and class 2 officers had participated in the workshop. Eminet Social and Economic Consultant Dr. Kapil Chandrayan, Expert in Women and International law expert Dr. Padma Chandekar, Executive Director of a social organisation, Prakriti Suvarna Damle, Executive Director of the Varadan Indian Association for Promotion of Condition and Child Welfare and Child Protection Commission and Indian Female Strength Member, Â Vasanti Deshpande gave guidance on various topics in both daytime sessions.
Regional Director of All India Local Government Institute, Jayant Pathak gave away the introductory remarks whereas Senior Research Assistant of Operations Inquisitive, Shekhar Girdkar conducted the workshop.
