On the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, Nagpur Municipal Corporation paid tribute to the memorial of Rajiv Gandhi.
Mayor Nanda Jhichkar, Leader of the Opposition Tanaji Vanwe, Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar greeted the idol of Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi by offering floral garlands. The death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi is celebrated throughout the country as an anti-terrorism day. On this occasion, Mayor Nanda Jhichkar administered the oath of anti-terrorism day along with all the employees and officials present.
Corporator Neha Nikose, Corporator Dinesh Yadav, Additional Commissioner Aziz Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Mohite, Superintending Engineer Manoj Talveer, Executive Engineer Shweta Banerjee, Executive Engineer Manoj Ganveer, Assistant Commissioner Milind Meshram, health officer (cleanliness) Sunil Kamble, Education Officer Prei Mishrich Kotkar, Public Relations Officer Ashok Kolhatkar, Assistant Public Relation Officer Pradeep Khardenvis, Assistant Dilip Tandale, Rajesh Nikosi and other officials of the Municipal Corporation were also present on the occasion.
Terrorism is not just planting explosives but creating fear in one’s mind is also terrorism. Jhichkar gave this message to all the attendees present at the occasion. She said that there shouldn’t be any kind of fear in the minds of the people.
