The ideal monsoon season has spread its showers across the city and has made people relaxed from the scorching heat of summer. After the highest temperature attended by the citizens, they have finally got a tranquil state of mind. This serene arrangement is being welcomed by the monsoon eateries on sidewalks, the smell attracting a drenched and few vibes calling an undone soul.
The talks of hot smoke of coal and food cooking in it have been always a trend in every monsoon season. The fries smoked peanut and roasted corn on charcoal are some of the main attraction during monsoon.
Corn is served with chutney, salt, and lemon on it with dripping butter in every corner of the city. The roasted corn has been served this same way since ages and had not flopped even when the trendy sweet boiled corn came in the knowledge of people, the citizens still prefer on side walk corn with a light taste of coal on it.
“In the current season the rate of corn in the whole sale market are usually high, as monsoon has just hit in†said Hiralal a corn vendor at Bajaj Nagar. A sack of corn costs of 800 to 1000 rupees in the early season, this sack contains all shapes and sizes of corn and sometimes even rotten ones are included in the same sack, added Hiralal.
Another vendor from Bajaj Nagar Umesh Kumar Patel says, there are peak hours of our daily sale which is evening 7 to 11 at night. This is the exact time when there is a huge crowd coming and we get a proper response, also this time is the time when our daily profit goal is reached.
