Angel FC got the better of Khalsa FC 3-2 in penalty shootout to enter the third round in Aai Kusum Sahare Memorial Vidarbha-level Football Tournament jointly organised by Aai Kusum Sahare Foundation and Nagpur Municipal Corporation at Reshimbgh ground, here on Monday.
The score was nil during the regulation time. In penalty shootout,Aaron Damorise, Arnav Sagar and Sahil Bansod scored the goals for Angel FC. For Khalsa, only Samer Lakra and Jackquse Kujur found the net.
In encounter Birsa Munda defeated Hind KGN 6-5 via sudden death to enter the third round in the ongoing Ashish Rautel scored the winning goal in sudden death after the score was levelled during regulation time and in tie-breaker.
Initially Birsa Munda was leading by 1-0. Sunny Kathoute put them ahead in the 15th minute. In the 31st minute Mohammad Mateen levelled the score converting an excellent opportunity. a tie-breaker was enforced as both the teams failed to score during the remaining time. Vijay Kathoute, Sujit Kathoute, Om Kathoute and Shailesh Netan found the net for Birsa Munda. For Hind KGN, Mohammad Furqan, Mohammad Khalid, Mohammad Mateen and Mohammad Yaseen converted their opportunities.
Brothers FC overcame Ujala 4-3 in penalty shootout. Deepak Ravi, Gaurav Sarpe, Dinesh kathoute and Raju Verma converted the spot kicks for Brothers FC. For Ujala Arvind Minz, Aditya Shirpurhe and Mohit Mandarkar scored the goals.
Kismat FC defeatd Deep Warriors by 1-0, thanks to Mohammad Ahtehsam who scored the winning goal in the 32nd minutes.
Dhantoli FC blanked Four Pole 2-0. Akshay Dhoke (18th min) and Mohammad Ahtesham (46th min) netted one goal each.
