ALL India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will be soon providing healthcare support services to the Nagpur Municipal hospitals (NMC). Tata Trusts has already started upgrading these hospitals out of which 17 have already been completed. Tata Trusts also will be a part of AIIMS-NMC joint project.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by Abhijeet Bangar, Municipal Commissioner; Major General Dr Vibha Datta, Director of AIIMS, and Shrinivasan, Health Director of Tata Trusts.
Mayor Nanda Jichkar expressed her conviction over the project and said, this would bring quality health service to the hospitals run by a civic body which is a welcome move. The agreement aims at enhancing the healthcare facilities provided by NMC.
According to the sources, 26 new centers and project will commence soon from Urban Primary Health Centre in Nandanvan.
Shital Ugale, Chairperson of Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT ); Rajesh Mohite, Deputy Commissioner; Dr Sarita Kamdar, Health Officer (Hospital); Dr Pradip Deshmukh, Head, Department of Medicine; Dr Aman Navkar and Tikesh Bisen of Tata Trusts were present on the occasion.
