For A.G. Nagpur, Raju Bhaisare beat Prashant More of A.G. Mumbai 25-0, 24-06, P. Ninawe of Nagpur came from behind to beat Gopal Panchal 22-25, 25-04, 25-10 while in doubles, Sudhir Bamburde and Rajesh Jambhulkar got the better of Sandeep Misal and Mohammad Bilal 21-05, 25-08 in the Semifinals of mens Team Championship.
In the other Semifinals, DGA Central, Mumbai blanked A.G. Gwalior 3-0. For DGA Central, Mumbai, Dilesh Khedekar beat Rajesh Kumar of A.G. Gwalior 25-21, 25-2, Jitendra Kale beat Vijay Mahore19-13, 25-16 while Dilip Kale and Pradeep Bora beat K.Ramachandra and Shekhar Godia 25-6, 15-20, 23-19.
In the womens singles, Rashmi Ranjan of A.G. Gwalior, Audry D’Souza of A.G. Mumbai, Surekha Parab of A.G. Mumbai and Nandita Shivsaran of DG Central, Mumbai reached the semifinals. Nagpur hopes ended in the womens singles, when Kavita Nair lost to Surekha Parab of A.G. Mumbai, 0-25, 6-25 while Susharma Choudhari lost to Nandita Shivsaran of DG Central, Mumbai 1-22, 7-19.
Earlier, the Tournament was inaugurated by Ms. Sheela Jog, Principal Director, Regional Training Institute, Nagpur by shattering the carom coins. L.Hangsing, Accountant General presided over the function. Both the dignitaries encouraged the participants to play the games with sportsmanship and camaraderie. Beju Joseph, Dy. Accountant General introduced the Chief Guest. Loknath Datta conducted the proceedings while Ashok Chanore, Welfare Officer proposed vote of thanks.
