Rishitha Basireddy and Samrit Sharma emerged the champions in the girls and boys categories respectively in  MSLTA Yonex Sunrise NDHTA All India Ranking Under-12 Super Series Tennis Tournament at Ram Nagar court here on Friday.
In the girl’s singles final, both the players were matching each other shot for shot whether it was forehand or backhand, down the line or across the court. It was a treat to watch the two little girls fight with passion and skill. In the end Rishitha prevailed over Maaya thus ending her amazing and stunning run in this tournament by beating her 7-6(6), 7-5. In the boy’s final, second seed Samprit Sharma from Chhhattisgarh was aggressive from the start and kept provoking his top seed opponent Vedant Bhasin to make unforced errors. And no sooner had Vedant come under pressure Samprit took the upperhand and never allowed Vedant to recover. Samprit won the final encounter in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
In the girls doubles finals, it was once again a three setter with neither side relenting. First set was taken by Divya and Aakruti who are the top seeds but Sejal and Anandi (S3) came back strong and took the second set 6-3. And in the final encounter, Divya and Aakruti walked away with the honours with the score reading 6-1, 3-6, 10-7.
