Today Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh took a toll on those who are using internet as a medium to promote any kind of crime against woman.
Home Minister in his video message said that state will take strict action against those who are found promoting any sort of crime against woman through any medium.
The home minister said there has been “a big rise” in crimes like spreading provocative content, rumours and objectionable posts against women and creating communal divide using social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
Anil Deshmukh also tweeted that “Instances of cybercrime have been rising during the #CoronaLockdown. Be warned that @MahaCyber1 is keeping a minute watch. I’ve ordered swift & decisive action against rumour & hate mongers. Those indulging in slander & misogyny will also not be spared. #MaharashtraGovtCaresâ€
