Under “Mission Begin Again†some relaxation was given by the state government which gave citizens an opportunity to resume business in the city by following rules. As per these guidelines, non-essential services in Nagpur city have been started on a non-subject basis. Also, the time has been fixed for the shops to continue. It was also made mandatory for the citizens coming in the shops and markets to use the face mask, keep social distance, and sanitize the premises from time to time.
However, as the order issued by the corporation from time to time is not being seriously observed, the Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has issued an order to take stern action against the violators. If it is found that the shopkeepers are not following the rules properly as per this order, the following penalty will be levied by the concerned shopkeepers.
- Violation of †instruction for the first time – Rs. 5000/- penalty
- Violation of the instruction for the second time costs Rs. 8000/- fine
- Violation of the directive for the third time costs Rs. 10,000/- fine
In addition, all concerned will be liable to file criminal cases as well as their license could be revoked and the shops can be closed.
The staff of Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s nuisance detection and elimination team, Sanitation Inspector, Chief Sanitation Officer, and Assistant Commissioner of the concerned zone and all concerned officers of the corporation of higher rank, all concerned police sub-inspectors and senior police officers has been given authority to take action against the violators.
