Due to the increase in the cases of Covid positive cases in city the need of the more Covid Care Centres have increased. At present, Covid Care Centres are functioning at MLA Hostel, Pachpaoli and VNIT.As per information, the Covid Care Centres will be started again in Symbiosis and Vanamati when number of patients increase. Last year after the number of coronavirus patients increased, the civic administration had contacted the departmental heads and ordered to take over hostels. These were Law College Hostel (Lower) of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University and girls hostel located in Gandhi Nagar.
Four hostels of boys and girls of Agriculture College, PWS quarters in Raj Nagar, Hostel of Veterinary College, Two Hostels of Institute of Science, Hostel of Government Industrial Training Institute located on South Ambazari Road, Roy Udyog Hostel in Ganeshpeth, Two Hostels of Ramdeobaba Engineering College on Katol Road and Chattarpur Farm on Dighori Outer Ring Road. As per information, there are 350 beds in Covid Care Centres at Pachpaoli and VNIT.300 beds are available after Covid Care Centre has begun at MLA Hostel. And the civic administration has started working to provide human resources for these centres.
