In a tragic incident, a minor girl was raped after being threatened to live at Shantinagar on Sunday evening. The accused has been identified as Raju Kotarange (32).
The incident took place at around 6 pm, when the minor was returning home from work where the accused stopped her and forcibly got her to a new construction site and raped her.
According to Police information when the Victim was returning from her work on Sunday evening Raju Kotarange blocked her way and started teasing her. He threatened her for life and forced her to sit on his scooter with him. Raju then forcefully took the minor to a deserted construction site in Koradi Area and dehumanized her.
PSI Arun Bakal informed that the accused teased and tried to block the way of the victim on Saturday to which the minor didn’t respond and walked away. On Sunday the accused blocked her again and threatened her to life and raped her.
Shantinagar Police station has registered a case under Sections 376, 363, 506 of the IPC and subsection 4 of POCSO act and the investigation has been initiated.
