As the cases are on rapid surge the demand for oxygen beds and other health facilities has also increased in the city. To avail all the bed facilities to Covid patients Chandrashekhar Bawankule has suggested converting hotels in Nagpur and provide treatment in them till administrations expand the health facility.
As the hotel services are shut in the state due to strict restrictions Bawankule said that these vacant hotels can act as a treatment facility for these patients.
BMS doctors and nurses in the district should be hired for the treatment of patients, and 5,000 beds should be provided for corona patients in the district as soon as possible. Earlier in a high-level meeting with civic authorities to discuss the situation of COVID-19 in Nagpur Union Minister Nitin Gadkari directed the District Collector to provide immediate medical care and install more beds within 24 hours at various COVID-19 hospitals.
