Devendra Fadnavis and other BJP leaders detained by police during OBC reservation protests

Former CM Devendra Fadnivis along with other BJP leaders who gathered during the ‘Chakka Jam’ Andolan organized by the party today at Variety Square, to register their protest against the State Government and demand for restoration of political reservation of the OBC were detained by the police.

Around thousands of BJP workers also arrested themselves and registered their protest and demand.  The Maha Viskas Government (MVA) of Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party and Congress is misleading the OBC of the State and they are projecting something and has different plan in the mind, said Devendra Fadnavis former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. 

He was addressing the gathering during the ‘Chakka Jam’ Andolan organised by the party today i.e. June 26. A huge gathering of BJP activist was gathered at Variety Square, to register their protest against the State Government and demand for restoration of political reservation of the OBC.

Fadnavis also said that he was ready to support shoulder to shoulder responsibility if the present MVA Government was really willing to give political reservation to the OBC. “Now a new statement by MVA supporters is going viral on social media that the Modi Government is not allowing to collect the empirical data. But the fact is that political reservation of the OBC fully rest with the State Government and the Union Government has no role in it,” Fadnavis said.  

He also added that the BJP will expose the double policy of the MVA Government. We will not sit ideal till the OBC do not get their political right. Fadnavis also said that the MVA government to hide its failure is imposing lockdown-like restrictions and also has cut short this year’s Maharashtra Legislature Monsoon session for just two days.  The stage was shared by Mayor Dayashanker Tiwari,  Chandreshaker Bawankule, Dr Vikas Mahatme, MP, Krishna Khopde, MLA Girish Vyas, Dr Parinay Fuke, MLC, Ramesh Chopde, Parshu Thakur, Deven Dasture, and other leaders corporators, and office-bearers.
